Abstract/Description: | Correspondence between Alex Gallion and the Department of the Army, Fort Benning, the General Services Administration, the Library of Congress, and the Pentagon. The correspondence comes from 1973-1975 and are based on inquires made by Alex Gallion regarding a rumor that General Patton was responsible for evacuating Jekyll Island in 1942. From this correspondence it was found that the rumor was false. |
